Sweater for Mom

This tiny little sweater is for my mom. At this point, she is wearing a size 00.....never even knew they made clothes that small.

Anyhow, it looks like vegie garden camo! But it is cute anyway.

I'm so pleased with this! It is the same half circle shawl I did on internship as a gift in yellow acrylic yarn. This is done, with some some modifications, with wool and mohair yarns. I think it looks really great!

Long time since posting

Been a while since I posted. Must confess that it has a lot to do with RAVELRY!! That's where I've been puting most of my stuff. But there is no need to neglect this place, too!
So, I'm posting some pictures of recent projects that haven't made it here yet

My first lace shawl

My First Lace Shawl!!

This pattern is called Wings of the Swan and it came from Traditional Knitted Lace Shawls by Martha Waterman. (see links)

Yarn is Venezia Mohair/Acrylic by Lang Yarn.

one half of this is a light cream and the other is a soft charcoal grey. really pretty! I kinda can't believe I made it!

ok, i am really really behind in posting!! so, i've got to try to catch up.

been working on lots of stuff lately--i've gotten a lot of projects completed on internship.

Here's what I've got pics of so far......

the pretty colored scarf is made-up cables...a good-bye gift for when I leave.

the bear is for the Mother Bear Project....they give bears to kids in need in places like inda and africa.....see the links section.

Pattern is forthcoming--as usuall, I made it and didn't write it down as I went along and have to go back and calculate.

more use for self-striping sock yarn.
I used Moda Dea Sassy Stripes.
size 4 double pointed needles or size needed to get gauge
Gauge is 6 stitches 8 rows per inch
Cast on 20 stitches. Join, being careful not to twist. Put on row marker
Knit2 Purl 2 ribbing for 4 rounds
Knit one round
Knit 4, knit into the front and back of the next stitch, repeat this to complete 1 round--24 stitches
Knit 5, knit into the front and back of the next stitch, repeat this to complete 1 round -- 28 stitches
Knit 6, knit into the front and back of the next stitch, repeat this to complete 1 round --32 stitches
Knit 8, yo, repeat this to complete 1 round (this is to make opening for I-cord)--36 stitches
Knit all rows till desired length. Mine is about 12" from ribbing to ribbing
Knit 7, k2tog, repeat to end of round--32 stitches
Knit 6, k2tog, repeat to end of round--28 stitches
Knit 5, k2tog, repeat to end of round--24 stitches
Knit 4, k2tog, repeat to end of round--20 stitches
Knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for 4 rows
Bind off
Make I-cord out of 4 stitches. Weave through holes. Knot ends and tie to adjust to correct length.
