Crest of the Sugar Wave Shawl

Just finished writing out the pattern for this and posting it to Ravelry. I'm pleased with it. It looks and feels good, has a drapey, silky feel but is not so slippery as to slide off the shoulders to easily.

I guess you could make it with some other kind of yarn, but I specifically designed it for the Ruca yarn.

Kitchen towel and cloth

Gift for Bonnie as a thank you for the garden goodies. Organic cotton knit in feather and fan pattern and blackberry pattern. Quite lovely, I think

Top Hat

100_2264

One of the coolest projects I've done recently! Felted top hat. Pattern can be found here . The designer also has some other great things as well. Cute and has unlimited possibilities for decoration!

Bell Sleeve Red Sweater

Upcoming Pattern--not quite ready for publication yet but when it is, it will be available on Ravelry as a PDF. If you're not on Ravelry and want a copy, let me know and we'll work something out :)

Knitted in the round so no seams. Bell sleeves, nice neckline and a corset-like ribbed bodice. Difficult to see in the photos--actually, it doesn't show up at all and does not do justice to it--so I hope to have better ones eventually.

Forest Fire Shawl

Fan Shawl (see previous post) made with zitron trekking hand art hand died sock yarn.
I wore this to the Stitches South knitting expo and got tons of compliments on it. Along with my swan shawl I made a few years ago, this has to be one of my favorite pieces. It looks like a forest surrounded by fire.

Tam for Lydia

This was actually a commissioned piece and one of the most beautiful things! I've never done color work before, unless you count a stripe or two in a scarf. The book was fantastic and very, very helpful.

Yarn was from KnitPicks Palette and I used size 1 and 2 double points and circulars.

Blue Socks

Christmas gift for Robin. Robin's egg blue, among other blues! Love it! I almost wish I could keep them for myself!

It's Zittron Trekking XXL with size 2 needles. Used the two circular needle technique which goes quite quickly.

Scarf for Seaman's Church

This was a super easy scarf--really cool with the ribbing around the neck area so it is extra thick where it needs to be without being cumbersome.

This is for an excellent charity: Christmas at Sea. See the links section. I highly recomend it!

Sweater for Mom

This tiny little sweater is for my mom. At this point, she is wearing a size 00.....never even knew they made clothes that small.

Anyhow, it looks like vegie garden camo! But it is cute anyway.

pretty shawl

I'm so pleased with this! It is the same half circle shawl I did on internship as a gift in yellow acrylic yarn. This is done, with some some modifications, with wool and mohair yarns. I think it looks really great!

Been a while since I posted. Must confess that it has a lot to do with RAVELRY!! That's where I've been puting most of my stuff. But there is no need to neglect this place, too!
So, I'm posting some pictures of recent projects that haven't made it here yet
